Stephen A. Spence

Steve focuses on trial and appellate litigation in all of Delaware’s courts, including the Court of Chancery, Superior Court, and Supreme Court. He handles disputes in and out of court relating to business and corporate law, real estate, fiduciary relationships, and creditors’ rights.

In addition to litigation, Steve serves as a mediator, consults with attorneys on legal writing and appellate cases, and advises attorneys and law firms on legal ethics matters. Steve also advises local businesses on a wide range of issues.

Before entering private practice, Steve served as the judicial law clerk to President Judge James T. Vaughn, Jr. (Ret.). He is actively involved in the Delaware Board of Bar Examiners, the Delaware State Bar Association, the Sussex County Bar Association, and the Terry-Carey Inn of Court.

Steve lives in Lewes with his wife and children. He is a graduate of Cape Henlopen High School, and his family lives in the Cape region.
